The aim of the project is:
to support the early warning and conflict prevention mandate of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities by providing timely, unique and first-hand information on political, economic and social developments affecting national minorities and inter-ethnic relations in the key regions of Georgia, such as Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo-Kartli, Kakheti (focus on Pankisi), and Abkhazia (focus on Gali). CIPDD is a Georgian think-tank that has an extensive experience on working in national minority populated regions of Georgia and the analysis of conflict related issues. It has also an extensive experience of working with the OSCE HCNM on these issues. CIPDD will produce monthly reports on the situation in the four mentioned regions based on reports from a network of local monitors in the regions, and a media monitor based in Tbilisi. The reports will have standard structure and follow indicators developed with participation of the office of the HCNM. The reports will be produced in the Russian and English languages...
