Political forum: 10 questions on political development of Georgia |

CIPDD organized a two-day workshop in Gudauri on 8-9 December 2006. The workshop was conducted in the framework of CIPDD’s new initiative Political forum: 10 questions on political development of Georgia supported by the Open Society Institute (OSI). The aim of the forum is to organize professional discussions on the political development of Georgia. Some 15 experts participated in the workshop. They were asked to answer 10 specific questions on the political development of Georgia. Each of the 10 sessions was dedicated to one single question. Each presentation was followed by a discussion on the respective topic. The workshop was facilitated by Ghia Nodia. The final products of this initiative will be published in Georgian. It is also planned to publish English versions of the articles.

| On January 27, 2010 CIPDD organized the Round table discussion to assess the situation in Shida Kartli after the August 2008 war, to identify most urgent problems of the region, and to find out what should be done there in the short term. On the meeting CIPDD presented the project Development of early warning system in conflict affected Shida Kartli region of Georgia (supported by the EC) and policy review Shida Kartli after the August 2008 war: Challenges and Solutions by Erekle Urushadze, published with the financial support of the Thin Tank Fund of the Open Society Institute-Budapest. |
