On december 18, 2012. The Georgian president announced a contest "Projects and initiatives to promoute and Strengthen the Civil Sector and Independent Media in Georgia".

First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Mr. Shergelashvili, introduced the basic principles of development strategy for Decentralization and self-governments, to the representatives of the self-government of Kakheti and Guria regions and discussed the main directions for the strategy with them.

On March 13, First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Mr. Shergelashvili, introduced the basic principles of development strategy for Decentralization and self-governments, to the representatives of NGO-s of Shida Kartli region and discussed the main directions for the strategy with them.
