Training of trainers on public deliberation 26.07.2012

The idea of the training was to introduce new method of initiating and moderating public discussions to representatives of regional civil society organizations. Historical background of the method as well as its application has been discussed during the training. Majority of sessions were devoted to development and strengthening moderation skills among participants. Number of model deliberations were organized during the training, thus creating an environment for participants to practice their skills.
The final session of the training was devoted to plan three rounds of public deliberations in 8 regions of Georgia. Representatives of each region were equipped with necessary materials and tools (including recorders for audio recording) to organize and conduct deliberations. It has been agreed that the theme of first round of deliberations will be administrative territorial arrangement of Georgia.Training of trainers was financed with a grant from the Social Transformation Programme (MATRA) of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign
