Introduction:  The European Union’s decision to grant Georgia a visa-free access to the EU/Schengen area is a significant step forward for the country and a major political, economic and social milestone on its path towards European integration, one which has opened up vital new opportunities for Georgian citizens.
The Policy Paper looks into potential benefits of visa liberalization and likely challenges that can hamper the efficient implementation of the visa-free movement scheme between Georgia and the EU/Schengen countries.
